Eric Phillips is a full-time photographer and videographer based in the Gunnison Valley. With a deep love for the outdoors and an eye for capturing raw, natural beauty, Eric specializes in landscape, commercial, real estate, and brand storytelling through photo and video. Originally from Silver Lake, Wi, Eric moved to the Gunnison Valley in 2016 to pursue a degree in Recreation & Outdoor Education from Western State Colorado University. Since then, he has dedicated himself to honing his craft, and documenting the awe-inspiring terrain of the Elk Mountains- from rugged peaks to golden aspen groves- whether by bike, board, or on foot.
"Impermascapes"
Jeffrey Erwin’s work explores the cross section of Art and Science often creating obscure objects that reference extraction, imagine regenerative methods, and/or engage the public. "Impermascapes" are unique ceramic creations that artfully capture the transient textures of riverbeds. Each piece is crafted through a poetic process: plaster castings preserve the river bottom after peak runoff, documenting the intricate patterns shaped by the veins of our ecosystems. Clay is then pressed into these molds and shaped into wares, bringing you pieces of the river—each one inviting reverence for water—inviting us to pause, to listen, and to honor the lifeblood that shapes all things.
Sarah Starling is a Denver-based encaustic artist originally from the Chicagoland area. She draws much of her inspiration from her travels around the United States. Sarah does not go into painting with a strict plan, but uses a layering process that embraces chance and change. Transparent layers of encaustic paint are built up to create bold colors and textures that mimic natural elements. For Sarah, the process of creating is just as important as the final outcome.
Jennie's original serigraphs, or screenprints, are all meticulously stenciled and printed by hand. These prints each belong to small limited editions and can never be replicated.
Nora's stunning oil and watercolor landscapes will whisk you away to a bright, colorful world. "My hope is to help the viewer to see the world around with “new eyes” - to see purple in the water and trees, when they normally wouldn’t, to connect to their surroundings in a new way or to visually go somewhere new."
Martin Gerdin was born in a small town in the Colorado Rockies. He began blowing glass in 2008, when he discovered the studio at his high school. Being an avid fisherman, blown glass fish were a natural progression in his artistic journey. As he grew, he lost his way as addiction clawed its way into every aspect of his life, and he lost the vision of the future. On May 13th of 2020, he decided enough was enough. After addiction treatment he fell into a crowd of young, sober fly fishermen. With a clear head and a fresh perspective, he strives to bring the beautiful wild salmonids he saw to life; in glass.
Arthur Hough started Colorado Barrel Designs in 2011 with no woodworking experience whatsoever. After taking the "leap" he has never looked back and has been passionately designing and building handcrafted wine and whiskey barrel furniture ever since.

Ellen Jo Jeffries is a ceramic artist and nurse based in Salida, Colorado, and the artists behind Odd Bird Pottery. Working with clay is a steady creative outlet alongside her work in healthcare, keeping her connected to making things by hand. She creates functional pottery that sits between utility and art, designed for everyday use with careful attention to carved detail and hand-painted surfaces. Her work is inspired by the Colorado outdoors, from mountain terrain to river systems, and the small details found through the changing seasons.
Alex Tiberio & Kristi Haner are based in Pitkin, CO. Together they create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces inspired by their love of exploring the West. They use traditional silversmithing techniques including detailed saw work, repousse, and casting. They recycle all their silver scraps into new pieces-- all handmade in their little mountain studio, surrounded by nature.
Gale Schadewald spent six fire seasons as a Wildland Firefighter before finding metalsmithing. Those years taught her resilience, adaptability, and a deep respect for the raw, untamed world. That same spirit shows up in the jewelry that she creates today!

As a child in the New York City area, I always wanted more contact with nature then my local sidewalks and parks would allow. I would often try to collect bugs and small creatures, but my efforts were often unsuccessful. As I grew up, I realized that making art with natural themes satisfied my desire to “keep”nature without needing to collect it. When I carve, draw, or sculpt animals, I celebrate their beauty and personality as I memorialize them in clay or paper.
